WillWatkinson published New Essex wetland to provide home for birds, fish and mammals

A new 22-hectare wetland has opened in Essex which will be home to many rare species of fish, birds and water mammals. The Environment Agency, working alongside the Essex Wildlife Trust, has allowed the tide to breach a seawall, creating a mixture of saltmarsh, mudflat and saline lagoon at the Fingringhoe Wick Nature Reserve on the Colne estuary.
